Portland, Ore., Nov. 4 - Alcatel-Lucent is planning to sell $750 million of high-yield notes, market sources say.

The deal could come this week.

The telecommunications equipment company, which is based in New York and Paris, has undertaken a debt refinancing effort which will also include a €955 million rights issue and a €500 million revolver.

BofA Merrill Lynch, Credit Agricole, Deutsche Bank, Citigroup, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Morgan Stanley and Natixis are expected to be involved in the capital markets transactions, sources say.
