San Luis Obispo, Calif., Nov. 15 - Eaton Vance Management announced the launch of its new Eaton Vance Short Duration High Income Fund, according to a press release.

The fund, managed by Michael Weilheimer, seeks total return by investing primarily in income instruments rated below investment grade, including floating-rate loans and convertible securities. The fund intends to maintain a dollar-weighted average duration of three years or less.

Eaton Vance also announced that Andrew P. Szczurowski was appointed co-portfolio manager of the Eaton Vance Short Duration Strategic Income Fund, formerly the Eaton Vance Strategic Income Fund. He joins existing portfolio manager Eric A. Stein.

Boston-based Eaton Vance Management is the investment adviser to the funds.
