Eaton Vance hires Hunt in London for European high-yield expansion

New York, Nov. 30 – Eaton Vance Management (International) Ltd. said it hired Clifton Bowie (Bo) Hunt as a vice president and global high-yield analyst to work in London.

Hunt will report to Jeffrey D. Mueller, vice president and high-yield portfolio manager, according to a news release.

Eaton Vance said the appointment is part of its strategy to enhance its high-yield and fixed-income offerings in the European market.

Earlier this year, Eaton Vance lowered the management fees and agreed to cap the total expense ratio of Eaton Vance International (Ireland) U.S. High Yield Bond Fund.

Hunt previously worked as a credit analyst for Fidelity International in London and before that was a stressed and distressed credit analyst in the global credit and special situations group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York.

Eaton Vance also said it has joined the Investment Association, a trade group that represents the interests of investment managers and investors in the United Kingdom.

Eaton Vance is a Boston-based asset manager.
