Eaton Vance tweaks investment objective for five municipal funds

San Diego, March 26 - Eaton Vance Municipal Income Funds announced investment objective changes for five of its funds, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. All of the funds will now seek current income, rather than a high level of current income, exempt from either federal or state taxes.

The Eaton Vance AMT-Free Limited Maturity Municipal Income Fund and Eaton Vance National Limited Maturity Municipal Income Fund now seek current income, rather than a high level of current income, exempt from regular federal income tax and limited principal fluctuation.

The Massachusetts Limited Maturity Municipal Income Fund now seeks current income, rather than a high level of current income, exempt from regular federal income tax and Massachusetts state personal income taxes, and limited principal fluctuation.

The New York Limited Maturity Municipal Income Fund seeks current income, rather than a high level of current income, exempt from regular federal income tax and New York state and New York City personal income taxes, and limited principal fluctuation.

The Pennsylvania Limited Maturity Municipal Income Fund now seeks current income, rather than a high level of current income, exempt from regular federal income tax and Pennsylvania state and local taxes in the form of an investment exempt from Pennsylvania personal property taxes, and limited principal fluctuation.

Boston-based Boston Management and Research serves as the investment adviser to the funds.
