8minute, Duke Energy close $204.5 million financing for solar farm

Olympia, Wash., July 22 – 8minute Solar Energy and Duke Energy Renewables received $204.5 million in debt financing with CIT Group Inc. as coordinating lead arranger to support construction of Holstein Solar, a 200-megawatt solar farm to be built in Nolan County, Tex., according to a press release.

Concurrent with financial close, the project was sold by 8minute Solar to Duke Energy.

8minute Solar Energy is based in Los Angeles and is a private solar and storage developer. Duke Energy Renewables, a nonregulated unit of Duke Energy Corp., operates wind and solar generation facilities across the U.S.
