New Issue: Duke Energy sells $400 million 3.95% 10-year notes at 135 bps spread

Virginia Beach, Oct. 8 - Duke Energy Corp. is sold $400 million of 3.95% senior notes (Baa1/BBB/BBB+) due 2023 on Tuesday with a spread of Treasuries plus 135 basis points, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Pricing was at 99.795 to yield 3.975%.

BNP Paribas Securities Corp., Goldman Sachs & Co. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC were the joint bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The diversified energy company is based in Charlotte, N.C.
