Alaska Communications buys back $4.4 million 9 7/8% notes, $2.5 million 9 3/8% notes

Pittsburgh, Jan. 19 - Alaska Communications Systems Group Inc. said it repurchased $4.4 million of its 9 7/8% senior notes and $2.5 million of its 9 3/8% senior subordinated notes in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31.
As of Dec. 31, the outstanding amount of the 9 7/8% notes was $177.7 million and the outstanding amount of the 9 3/8% notes was $147.5 million.
Alaska Communications is an Anchorage, Alaska, communications provider.
