Alaska Air files automatic shelf registration

Knoxville, Tenn., Aug. 8 - Alaska Air Group Inc. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers common stock, preferred stock, debt securities, warrants and units.

Securities may be convertible.

The company will describe in a prospectus supplement how it intends to use the proceeds.

Alaska Air is a Seattle-based passenger air service provider.
