Kazakhstan’s Doszhan Temir Zholy makes partial payment of bond coupon

Madison, Wis., Feb. 6 – JSC Doszhan Temir Zholy made another partial payment on the ninth coupon for its KZT 30 billion inflation-linked bonds due Aug. 2, 2028, according to a notice from bondholder representative ATFBank.

The company paid KZT 138,379,073, or 10%, of the annual coupon on Feb. 3.

The issuer was due to pay the ninth coupon from Aug. 2 to Aug. 14, 2014, a prior notice said.

As of Aug. 14, Doszhan Temir Zholy is in partial default for making only a partial payment on the ninth coupon. The company has been making more partial interest payments since then.

As previously reported, the company paid off the overdue interest for the eighth coupon period of the same bonds in June 2014. The company had been in partial default for making only a partial payment on the Aug. 15, 2013 coupon.

Doszhan Temir Zholy constructs and operates railway lines and is based in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
