Dorsey & Whitney adds Sevack as corporate group partner in Hong Kong

Norfolk, Va., May 6 – Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced that Joe Sevack has joined the firm as a partner in the corporate group in the Hong Kong office, according to a press release.

Sevack’s practice focuses on debt and equity capital markets, banking and finance and mergers and acquisitions. He has lived and practiced in Hong Kong for more than 17 years.

“Joe is a great addition to the firm,” managing partner Ken Cutler said in the release. “He brings us a wealth of experience in Asia capital markets and other transactional work that will add tremendously to our strong Asian presence.”

Sevack joins Dorsey from the Hong Kong office of Troutman Sanders LLP, where he was a partner. Before joining Troutman Sanders in 2010, he was a partner in the Hong Kong office of Paul Hastings LLP and before that, a partner in the Hong Kong office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and an associate in the New York and Hong Kong offices of Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP.

Dorsey & Whitney is a law firm with 19 locations in the United States, Canada, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Its largest office and home base is in Minneapolis.
