Fitch rates Dolnoslaskie AA(pol), currency A-

Fitch Ratings said it has assigned Polish Region of Dolnoslaskie long-term foreign and local currency ratings of A- and a national long-term rating of AA(pol).

The outlooks are stable.

The ratings reflect the Region of Dolnoslaskie's sound operating performance, prudent financial management and low debt, the agency said, adding that they also take into account indirect risk stemming from the health care and railway sector and the pressure it causes on the region's budget.

The stable outlook reflects Fitch's expectations that the region will maintain its sound operating performance over the medium term despite the economic slowdown, and that the indirect risk arising from the healthcare sector will remain under control.
