Dollar General files automatic shelf covering debt, preferreds, stock

Knoxville, Tenn., March 31 - Dollar General Corp. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The registration covers common stock, preferred stock, debt securities, depositary shares, warrants, stock purchase contracts, units and guarantees of debt securities.
The securities may be structured as convertibles.
The company will describe in a prospectus supplement how it plans to use the proceeds.
Dollar General is a Goodlettsville, Tenn.-based discount retailer.
