Qatar's Doha Bank buys back $5 million of floating-rate notes due 2016

Tacoma, Wash., Jan. 14 - Doha Bank QSC repurchased $5 million of its floating-rate notes due 2016 on Jan. 12, according to a bank news release.

Following the purchase, $223.5 million principal amount of the notes remains outstanding.

As previously reported, the bank repurchased $14.5 million of the notes on June 11, 2009, $50 million on June 15, 2009, $4.5 million on June 29, 2009, $2 million on Aug. 12 and $700,000 on Sept. 29.

The private commercial bank is located in Qatar.
