District of Columbia Water and Sewer plans $100 million green bonds

Columbus, Ohio, Jan. 26 – District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority plans to issue $100 million of series 2017A green bonds due Oct. 1, 2052, according to a press release.

Underwriters for the issuance, which is expected to settle on Jan. 31, are Goldman Sachs & Co, Ramirez & Co., Inc., BofA Merrill Lynch, Barclays and Loop Capital Markets LLC.

Proceeds will be used to pay a portion of the costs of the construction and development of tunnels associated with the DC Clean Rivers Project.

The authority also expects to issue $200 million of series 2017B bonds to pay costs of certain capital improvements to the system.
