Malaysia’s Digi.Com launches sukuk programs totaling RM 5 billion

Morgantown, W.Va., Feb. 14 – Digi.Com Bhd. has established an Islamic medium-term notes program and an Islamic commercial paper program with a combined limit of up to RM 5 billion.

The 15-year MTN program has a RM 5 billion sublimit, and the seven-year paper program has a RM 1 billion sublimit.

Wholly owned subsidiary Digi Telecommunications Sdn. Bhd. will be the issuer under the sukuk programs.

CIMB Investment Bank Bhd. is the lead arranger and lead manager.

The Securities Commission Malaysia approved the sukuk programs on Tuesday.

The mobile communications company is based in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.
