Alabama defeases partly series 2006 and 2007-A G.O. bonds

Norfolk, Va., Aug. 6 – The State of Alabama defeased some of its series 2006 and 2007-A general obligation bonds, according to two Rule 15c2-12 filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The following 2006 bonds will be redeemed on Feb. 1, 2016:

• $3.05 million of 4% bonds due Feb. 1, 2017;

• $3.19 million of 4% bonds due Feb. 1, 2018;

• $3.35 million of 4% bonds due Feb. 1, 2019;

• $3,525,000 of 4.5% bonds due Feb. 1, 2020;

• $3,705,000 of 4.5% bonds due Feb. 1, 2021;

• $3,895,000 of 4.5% bonds due Feb. 1, 2022;

• $4,095,000 of 4.5% bonds due Feb. 1, 2023;

• $4,305,000 of 4.5% bonds due Feb. 1, 2024;

• $4,525,000 of 4.25% bonds due Feb. 1, 2025; and

• $4,745,000 of 4.5% bonds due Feb. 1, 2026.

The following 2007-A bonds will be redeemed on Aug. 1, 2017:

• $15.03 million of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2018;

• $15,675,000 of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2019;

• $16,355,000 of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2020;

• $17.07 million of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2021;

• $17.82 million of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2022;

• $18,615,000 of 4.75% bonds due Aug. 1, 2023;

• $19.44 million of 4.75% bonds due Aug. 1, 2024;

• $20,315,000 of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2025; and

• $21.23 million of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2026.

The State Treasurer of the State of Alabama is the paying agent.
