Fitch affirms Diagnosticos da America

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed the BB foreign and local currency issuer default ratings of Diagnosticos da America SA.

Fitch said it has also affirmed the company's A+(bra) national-scale rating and the BB rating of its $250 million senior unsecured notes due in 2018.

The outlook remains positive.

These rating actions follow the announcement by Diagnosticos da America that it had reached an agreement to merge its operations with those of MD1 Diagnosticos SA, the agency stated.
