Akron, Ohio, arranges $163.02 million sale of revenue refunding bonds

New York, June 11 - The City of Akron, Ohio, is set to price $163.02 million of series 2012 community learning centers income tax revenue refunding bonds, said a preliminary official statement.

The bonds (/AA+/) will be sold on a negotiated basis with Baird & Co. and Stifel, Nicolaus & Co. as the senior managers.

The deal includes $156,425,000 of series 2012A bonds and $6,595,000 of series 2012B bonds.

The 2012A bonds are due 2015 to 2033 and the 2012B bonds are due 2014 to 2015.

Proceeds will be used to refund the city's series 2004 revenue bonds and its series 2010A-C Build America Bonds.
