Delphi official equity committee appointed

Pittsburgh, May 1 - Delphi Corp.'s U.S. Trustee appointed the official committee of equity security holders for the company's Chapter 11 case, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The committee is comprised of Brandes Investment Partners, LP, San Diego; Luqman Yacub, Hartville, Ohio; James E. Bishop, Sr., Laredo, Texas; D.C. Capital Partners, LP, New York; James N. Koury, trustee of the Koury Family Trust, La Habra Heights, Calif.; James H. Kelly, Boulder, Colo.; and Dr. Betty Anne Jacoby, Little Silver, N.J.

Delphi, a Troy, Mich.-based automotive electronics manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 8, 2005. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-44481.
