Delphi reports $93 million March operating loss

Pittsburgh, April 28 - Delphi Corp. posted a $93 million operating loss for March on $1.75 billion in net sales, according to a Friday filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The operating loss improved from $129 million in February on $1.53 billion in net sales.

The net loss for March was $56 million, down from a $136 million February net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents at March 31 were $984 million, compared with $1.13 billion the month before.

Delphi, a Troy, Mich.-based automotive electronics manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 8, 2005 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-44481.
