Delphi records $129 million February operating loss

Pittsburgh, April 3 - Delphi Corp. posted a $129 million operating loss for February on $1.53 billion in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The operating loss slipped from a $115 million loss in January on $1.47 billion in net sales.

The net loss for February was $136 million, deteriorating from a $121 million January net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents at Feb. 28 were $1.13 billion, compared with $1.29 billion at Jan. 31.

Delphi, a Troy, Mich.-based automotive electronics manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 8. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-44481.
