Delphi reports $82 million October operating loss

Pittsburgh, Nov. 30 - Delphi Corp. reported an $82 million operating loss for October on net sales of $1.5 billion, according to a Thursday filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In September, the company posted a $673 million operating loss on net sales of $1.373 billion.

The net loss for October was $54 million, down from a $673 million September net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents on Oct. 31 were $448 million, compared with $411 million on Sept. 30.

Delphi, a Troy, Mich.-based automotive electronics manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 8, 2005 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-44481.
