Delphi will not appeal NYSE securities trading suspension; stock listed on Pink Sheets

Pittsburgh, Oct. 11 - Delphi Corp. will not appeal the NYSE's decision to suspend trading of its securities on the New York Stock Exchange in light of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, according to a company news release.

The suspended securities include Delphi's 6½% notes due May 1, 2009, its 7 1/8% debentures due May 1, 2029 and the 8.25% Cumulative Trust Preferred Securities of Delphi Trust I.

Delphi's stock will be traded under "DPHIQ" on the Pink Sheets and its preferred shares are also trading on the Pink Sheets under "DPHAQ."

Delphi, a Troy, Mich.-based automotive electronics manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on Saturday. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-44481.
