Delphi hires W.Y. Campbell to help with sale of brake business

Portland, Ore., July 14 - Delphi Corp. has hired W.Y. Campbell & Co. to explore sale opportunities for its brake business, according to a company news release.

Delphi's brake business has estimated 2008 revenue of $295 million and provides fully integrated brake systems and engineered custom tailored brake system components.

The brake business has manufacturing and assembly facilities in Juarez, Mexico, and Shanghai.

Delphi is a Troy, Mich.-based automotive electronics manufacturer that filed for bankruptcy protection on Oct. 8, 2005 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-44481.
