Delphi operating loss improves to $50 million in November

Pittsburgh, Dec. 31 - Delphi Corp. reported a $50 million operating loss for November on $1.145 billion in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In October, the company posted a $60 million operating loss on net sales of $1.344 billion.

The net loss for November was $231 million, widening significantly from a $28 million October net loss.

The company reported $13 million of cash and cash equivalents as of Nov. 30, compared with no cash and cash equivalents at the end of October.

Delphi, a Troy, Mich.-based automotive electronics manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 8, 2005 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-44481.
