Delphi operating loss falls to $322 million in June

Pittsburgh, July 31 - Delphi Corp. reported a $322 million operating loss for June on net sales of $1.414 billion, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The figures showed a decline from a $68 million May operating loss on net sales of $1.466 billion.

The net loss for June was $330 million, widening from a $45 million May net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents on June 30 were $26 million, compared with $33 million at the end of May.

Delphi, a Troy, Mich.-based automotive electronics manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 8, 2005 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-44481.
