Delphi reports $102 million April operating loss

Pittsburgh, May 31 - Delphi Corp. reported a $102 million operating loss for April on net sales of $1.322 billion, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The figures show a significant decline over an $11 million March operating loss on net sales of $1.511 billion.

The net loss for April was $66 million, slipping from a $63 million March net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents on April 30 were $25 million, compared with $113 million at the end of March.

Delphi, a Troy, Mich.-based automotive electronics manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 8, 2005 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-44481.
