Delphi reports improved $11 million March operating loss

Pittsburgh, April 30 - Delphi Corp. reported an $11 million operating loss for March on net sales of $1.511 billion, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The figures show improvement over a $149 million February operating loss on net sales of $1.303 billion.

The net loss for March was $63 million, down significantly from a $132 million February net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents on March 31 were $113 million, compared with $139 million at the end of February.

Delphi, a Troy, Mich.-based automotive electronics manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 8, 2005 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-44481.
