Delphi posts $149 million February operating loss

Pittsburgh, March 30 - Delphi Corp. reported a $149 million operating loss for February on net sales of $1.303 billion, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The figures show improvement over a $213 million January operating loss on net sales of $1.275 billion.
The net loss for February was $132 million, improved from a $186 million January net loss.
Cash and cash equivalents on Feb. 28 were $139 million, compared with $193 million at the end of January.
Delphi, a Troy, Mich.-based automotive electronics manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 8, 2005 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-44481.
