Moody's gives Aaa to Dallas County Community College G.O.s

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aaa rating to Dallas County Community College District, Texas' $220 million series 2008 general obligation bonds.

The expected sale date is Aug. 5.

Proceeds will be used to finance land acquisition, to fund the construction and equipping of campus facilities and to refund $125 million of commercial paper used for interim financing.

Moody's also affirmed the district's Aaa rating on $86.2 million in outstanding parity debt and the Aa2 revenue rating on $37.1 million in outstanding revenue debt obligations.
