Fitch rates DaimlerChrysler (Thailand) debentures AA+(tha)

Fitch Ratings (Thailand) Ltd. said it assigned DaimlerChrysler (Thailand) Ltd.'s upcoming Thai baht 2.0 billion guaranteed debentures due 2007 a national long-term rating of AA+(tha). The outlook is stable.

The rating is based entirely on the full, irrevocable and unconditional guarantee on the debentures by DaimlerChrysler AG (rated BBB+ outlook positive), which Fitch said it believes will provide support to ensure full and timely payment to the holders of DaimlerChrysler (Thailand)'s guaranteed debentures.

Fitch said the rating reflects the group's leading position as a manufacturer in the premium segment of the global automotive market and in the commercial vehicle market and the credit profile of Chrysler Group.
