Crescent Oil asks court to dismiss fully administered Chapter 11 case

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Nov. 25 – Crescent Oil Co., Inc. asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas to dismiss its Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, according to a Nov. 24 filing.

As previously reported, the company sold its assets in 2009.

Now, Crescent said the case has been fully administered, and “there is nothing left to do.”

According to the motion, Oak Point Partners, Inc. has offered to purchase the company’s “remnant assets” for $4,000.

Crescent Oil, an Independence, Kan.-based fuel distributor, filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 7, 2009. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-20258.
