Fitch affirms AIG Finance Hong Kong

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed AIG Finance Hong Kong Ltd.'s long-term local currency issuer default rating at A+, its short-term local currency rating at F1, its individual rating at C and its support rating at 1.

The outlook is stable.

The affirmations follow Fitch's annual review of the bank's credit profile and financials as at end-2005. The company's long- and short-term ratings largely reflect the implicit strong support of its parent, the AIG Group, one of the world's major insurance companies.

AIG Finance Hong Kong's individual rating reflects its satisfactory profitability and balance sheet strength and its professional and prudent management.

However, Fitch said the ratings also take into account its small size and somewhat volatile performance through the economic cycle.
