Fitch affirms AIG Finance Hong Kong

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed AIG Finance Hong Kong Ltd.'s long-term local-currency issuer default rating at A+, short-term local-currency issuer default rating at F1, individual rating at C and support rating at 1.

The outlook remains stable.

The affirmations follow Fitch's annual review of the bank's credit profile and financials at the end of the first half of 2007.

The ratings reflect the implicit strong support of its parent, the AIG Group (AA/stable), one of the world's largest insurance and financial services company, Fitch said. The ratings also consider its good profitability and sound balance sheet, professional and prudent management, the agency said

The ratings also reflect the company's small size and somewhat volatile performance throughout the economic cycle, Fitch added.
