China’s Country Garden plans to sell dollar-denominated notes

By Rebecca Melvin

New York, Jan. 8 – China’s Country Garden Holdings Co. Ltd. plans to issue U.S. dollar-denominated senior notes under Regulation S, subject to market conditions, according to a company notice.

The Foshan, China-based real estate developer has named Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC, J.P. Morgan, BNP Paribas and BOC International as bookrunners for the deal.

If issued, the proceeds will be used to redeem the issuer’s 2023 notes and for general corporate purposes.

Approval in-principle has been received for the listing and quotation of the notes on the SGX-ST.
