By Susanna Moon

Chicago, Sept. 19 - Ahlstrom Corp. announced a tender offer for its outstanding €80 million hybrid bond.

The purchase price will be 101% of par.

The offer will end at 7 a.m. ET on Sept. 26, with settlement set for Oct. 2.

The company will tender for up to the amount of new hybrid bonds issued, and the tender offer is conditioned on completion of the new issue of hybrid bonds, according to a company press release.

Ahlstrom said it expects to issue about €80 million of bonds "in the near future subject to market conditions."

The outstanding hybrid bonds were issued in November 2009 and are callable in November.

Nordea Markets is the dealer manager and tender agent.

Ahlstrom is a high performance fiber-based materials company based in Helsinki, Finland.
