Comstock Resources issues stock in exchange for $3 million 9½% notes

Morgantown, W.Va., June 24 – Comstock Resources, Inc. issued 1.5 million shares of common stock in exchange for $3 million of its 9½% senior notes due 2020, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company completed the privately negotiated exchange on Thursday.

The holder of the $3 million of 9½% notes also received accrued interest.

The independent oil and gas acquisition, exploration and development company is based in Frisco, Texas.
