Community Health to prepay, extinguish term A facility via new notes

Minneapolis, May 9 – Community Health Systems, Inc. plans to prepay and extinguish its term A facility using the proceeds from a new note offering and cash on hand, according to a press release.

The company’s wholly owned subsidiary, CHS/Community Health Systems, Inc., is planning a tack-on public offer of $700 million 6¼% senior secured notes due 2023.

Community Health is a Franklin, Tenn., hospital company.
