Moody's affirms Agilent

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the ratings of Agilent Technologies Inc., including its corporate family rating of Ba2 and speculative grade liquidity rating of SGL-1.

The outlook is stable.

The affirmation reflects Agilent's short-term challenges associated with a smaller asset base and somewhat higher debt levels offset by expected longer-term benefits to the company's franchise value as a result of operations in less volatile markets following the company's planned repositioning, Moody's said.

Moody's said it gives consideration to the company's more focused business strategy affording increased growth opportunities in Agilent's core markets after the disposition of the Semiconductor Products Group and memory test assets.
