Moody's: Agilent unaffected

Moody's Investors Service said that Agilent Technologies, Inc.'s announcement Wednesday that it intends to issue an undisclosed amount of senior notes for general corporate purposes, which could include the partial financing of its pending $1.5 billion acquisition of Varian, will have no impact on the company's ratings.

Agilent has a Ba1 corporate family, probability of default and senior unsecured rating.

The outlook is positive outlook.
