Comcast files automatic shelf

New York, March 27 - Comcast Corp. registered an automatic shelf registration in an S3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission Monday.

Covered by the shelf are unsecured senior and subordinated debt securities, preferred stock, depositary shares, warrants, class A common stock, class A special common stock, purchase contracts and units. Securities may be issued as convertibles.

Comcast, a Philadelphia-based broadband cable company, will use proceeds for working capital and general corporate purposes.
