France’s AFD plans euro-denominated five-year climate bonds

New York, Feb. 7 – Agence Francaise de Developpement plans to price a euro-denominated five-year senior climate bonds of benchmark size, according to a market source.

The issuer has mandated BNP Paribas, Credit Agricole CIB, HSBC, Natixis and Societe Generale to arrange a global investor call on Friday.

Proceeds will be used to finance projects contributing to the mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions and adaptation to climate change under the climate bond framework of AFD.

The issuer provides development and financing assistance to developing countries.
