S&P gives Colgate-Palmolive notes AA-

S&P said it assigned an AA- rating to Colgate-Palmolive Co.’s proposed senior unsecured euro-denominated notes.

The notes will be issued under the company's series H medium-term note program.

Proceeds are expected to be used for general corporate purposes, including the retirement of commercial paper.

S&P’s ratings on Colgate-Palmolive, including its AA- issuer credit rating, are unchanged, the agency said.
