Moody's rates Colgate bonds Aa3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aa3 rating to Colgate-Palmolive Co.'s planned $1.5 billion of senior unsecured notes.

Colgate's other ratings including the Aa3 senior unsecured rating are unaffected, and the outlook is unchanged at stable.

“The issuance is credit positive because it will prefund upcoming maturities, extending average maturities without increasing leverage,” the agency said in a press release.
