Moody’s gives Coca-Cola notes A1

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned A1 ratings to new senior unsecured euro- and dollar-denominated notes in multiple tranches, being offered by the Coca-Cola Co. Coke’s other ratings, including the A1 senior unsecured, remain unchanged.

The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including repaying debt.

“The transactions are credit positive because they will improve liquidity by extending maturities without materially affecting cash interest costs and free cash flow,” Moody’s said in a press release.

The outlook is stable.
