CME Group offers new notes to fund upcoming maturity of 3% notes

Concord, N.H., March 1 – CME Group Inc. is set to price an offering of dollar-denominated notes to fund the upcoming maturity of $750 million 3% notes due Sept. 15, 2022, according to a 424B5 filing on Tuesday.

The notes feature a make-whole call followed by a par call.

The bookrunners are Barclays, BofA Securities Inc., BMO Capital Markets Corp., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Lloyds Securities Inc., MUFG and Wells Fargo Securities LLC.

U.S. Bank Trust Co., NA is the trustee.

Counsel for the issuer is Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Mayer Brown LLP will provide legal counsel to the underwriters.

Proceeds will be used to redeem, repurchase or otherwise retire all the 2022 notes and for general corporate purposes.

The operator of futures exchanges and clearing houses is based in Chicago.
