Aflac intends to price senior notes via five bookrunners

Knoxville, Tenn., Oct. 29 – Aflac Inc. plans to offer dollar-denominated senior notes, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will have a make-whole call and then are callable at par.

Bookrunners are BofA Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, Mizuho Securities USA Inc., SMBC Nikko and Wells Fargo Securities LLC.

The company plans to use the proceeds from the offering to fund the redemption of its $550 million 2.4% senior notes due 2020 and for general corporate purposes.

The company provides supplemental health and life insurance through its subsidiaries and is based in Columbus, Ga.
