Aflac's 5.5% 40-year subordinated debentures begin trading on NYSE

Kansas City, Kan., Sept. 27 - Aflac Inc.'s 5.5% subordinated debentures due Sept. 15, 2052 have been admitted to trading on the New York Stock Exchange, according to a notice.

The debentures trade under the symbol "AFSD."

As previously reported, the company priced $450 million of the $25-par 5.5% debentures on Sept. 20. There is a $67.5 million over-allotment option.

The debentures are callable at par beginning Sept. 26, 2017.

The issuer is a supplemental insurance company based in Columbus, Ga.
