Citigroup plans 18- to 21-month buffered notes linked to S&P 500

Chicago, Oct. 17 – Citigroup Global Markets Holdings Inc. plans to price 18- to 21-month 0% buffered notes linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will be guaranteed by Citigroup Inc.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,146.40 to $1,172.00 per $1,000 principal amount of notes.
Investors will receive par if the index declines by up to 7% and will lose 1.0753% for each 1% decline beyond 7%.
The exact terms will be set at pricing.
Citigroup Global Markets Inc. is the underwriter.
The Cusip number is 17324CBZ8.
