Citigroup plans buffer securities on Energy Select Sector SPDR fund

New York, Dec. 9 – Citigroup Inc. plans to price 0% buffer securities due Dec. 22, 2017 linked to the Energy Select Sector SPDR fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the final fund level is greater than the initial level, the payout at maturity will be par plus the return, capped at 40% to 45%.

Investors will receive par if the fund declines by up to 10% and will share in any decline beyond 10%.

The notes (Cusip: 1730T03Q0) will price on Dec. 19.
